Al-Subtain University for Medical Sciences (the International Branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences) has launched the Fourth Medical Mobilization Forum, a five-day professional training event designed to enhance the practical competencies of healthcare professionals and students from medical colleges across various universities. The forum aims to prepare participants to deliver high-quality medical services during Iraq’s large-scale religious pilgrimages.

The forum is organized under the supervision of the Training and Development Association, affiliated with the Council of Scientific Associations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The program features a series of specialized workshops covering first aid, major incident and mass casualty management, epidemic preparedness and response, health statistics, and medical research methodology, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to emergency healthcare settings.

Students from Al-Subtain University demonstrated outstanding engagement and practical performance throughout the workshops, reflecting the University’s commitment to experiential learning, strengthening clinical competencies, and preparing highly qualified healthcare professionals capable of serving the community.

Dr. Osama Abdul Hassan, Consultant to the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine and one of the workshop instructors, emphasized that these specialized training programs are designed to enhance the preparedness of healthcare personnel in fulfillment of their humanitarian mission and to ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
